Two pairs oop on turn completing flush in minraised pot
Cryptologic £200 ($400)
4handed, £200 eff stacks PF: I bet 8£ in the CO with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BTN calls , BB calls Both are Tags, BTN is a good agressive player and BB is a bit weaker. I am playing aound 20/16, aggro but not crazy. Flop (£25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks, I bet £18, BTN minraise to £36, BB folds I put BTN on QT+, diamonds and sometimes air/really weak draws. I decide to just call. Turn (£97) T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Giving me top two and completing the flushdraw out there. This may be a trivial spot, but yet I got confused. How would you gentlemen proceed? |

Re: Two pairs oop on turn completing flush in minraised pot
your hh is wrong. Td didn't complete any flush draw??
EDIT: i'll presume the Qh on the flop is supposed to be a Qd. i would just c/c turn and reevaluate on the river but prob c/f unimproved. depends how much he bets on the turn/river. for now tho, c/c turn seems kinda standard |

[/ QUOTE ] b/c i dont like simply because i really doubt he's raising as a bluff or with anything we beat thats why i initially preferred c/c because i think he might bet something like KQ/QJ onthe turn wheras if we bet now we might lose him. i think we can get him to value bet for us or at least let us know if we are beat by checking it to him now and seeing how much he bets. if he checks back the turn we can b/f the river pretty safely. |

Re: Two pairs oop on turn completing flush in minraised pot
also, i'm not usually a huge fan of blocking bets but if you c/c turn now and lead river as a blocking/value bet for 1/3 pot or so i think it would be a decent line, esp as bb is weak and prob isn't likely to raise your river bet without a flush. if he does you can safely fold then.
leading river small means you might also get some value out of KQ/QJ/Qx |
