Reads and thoughts... Villian is a reg and sorta nitty pre flop but can mix it up ok post flop. plays like 20 15 4. BUT... i have a note on him thats says "calls my 3 bets light and is capable of mixing it up in 3 bet flops." i havent played with him in a month or 2 since ive been chillin in 50nl land so nothing recent at all but im sure he remembers me and im sure he knows i 3 bet pretty wide from a btn open and that i am aggro post flop and a solid winning player. so do u think a call is good here. to start off i will say i know for a fact his range is massive here. he could honestly have 2 overs and no spade. he also could very well have a lone J with no spade. he is good enough to know i cant call with a ton of hands here and is good enough to make a play here. so wut do u think. is his range wide enough for me to call and how does my hand match up equity wise against his range??? kinda interesting because i at the time i deffinatly wasnt to sure how my equity held up against his range since i sorta have every angle covered and thus really cant b in that bad of shape no matter wut. if he just has 2 overs and a fd im fine as there is a lot of dead money in the pot. if he has an over pair im ok as well. so i really think this has a lot to do with how u weigh his ranges and how my hand holds up to such ranges. id love to hear wut u all think tho. |

If Villain's range is as wide as you're saying, it seems like a call. Your draws are all pretty weak, but it doesn't sound like you'll be drawing to, like, just the 6s very often, occasionally you'll be well ahead, frequently you'll be flipping or something close to that, sometimes you will be up against a pair and a bigger flush draw (but even then you should have some outs), and you are getting over 2:1.

If the range you gave villain is correct, then it's a snap call having > 50% equity.

[ QUOTE ]
If the range you gave villain is correct, then it's a snap call having > 50% equity. [/ QUOTE ]i mean he doesnt do this with n e 7 or n e j or w/e. but he has the ability to make that play. it is deff no snap call. as a few times i will b drawing to 2 outs. |

Any two overs, any J, and I suppose any overpair / set any A of spade etc, you have > 50% equity and you are given > 2:1

obv i kno i said that. just clarifying that he isnt some complete maniac who shoves this flop anytime he sees an oesd or sumtin. just sayin a couple combos or so or weak semi bluffs that i am in good shape of are in his range. no where near enough to make this a turbo call tho unforunatly

3betting pf is pretty spewy here. Flat call is standard.
As played though check this flop. |
