Some silly preflop questions
Do you guys like raising hands like KTs and QTs in EP? I mix it up, but Im leaning more towards limping because it seems like you only get action from hands that dominate yours(even more so if you have a very tight image)
I got a lot of crap from the table for this one, but Im sure it was a good call. 20/40 live Im on the button in a kill pot. I won the last 2 hands(shocking) and Im the killer(I have to post $30). I look down at 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 limpers, the SB raises, BB calls, I call, everyone else calls. SB is a higher limit player, on tilt, and playing weak-tight. I know he has a big pair or AKs. Nothing else is possible. He flops a set, I flop open ended. Turn gets checked, I river my straight and scop a nice big pot. |

Re: Some silly preflop questions
I've never played in kill games before, but if I understand correctly, you were getting 13:1 on your money with a weak suited 3-spacer and the best position? Easy call.

Re: Some silly preflop questions
Its a half kill. If you are playing 20-40, in a kill pot the limits are 30/60.
To have a kill pot a player must win 2 hands in a row and the 2nd pot must be bigger than 5 BB. The player who won the 2 pots in a row must then post an extra big blind and gets to act last preflop. |

Re: Some silly preflop questions
KTs and QTs do not play well out of position.
Kill hand - standard play for me. Meta value when you show down is fantastic, this is a good example of where you need to give action. The action you get in return is worth its weight in gold if you show the best hand on the river, the confused looks are priceless. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Re: Some silly preflop questions
This is a pretty easy call. You should have said, "Well, at least you saved yourself some money by checking the turn."

so they play badly oop. what, then, is our standard play with them in ep in a 'typical' mid limit online game?
