8\'s on 6 high flop and a straight on river
Just wondering how people feel I played these hands. Comments on all streets appreciated.
Hand 1 Notes On Villain: Limps from 1st position with ace 2 and other weak hands and will call a pre flop raise with them as well. Just flat calls with top pair and a weak kicker. Limped on button with ace King and when it was checked to him on flop he checked and when he hit a king on the turn he only flat called a min bet with his top pair and ace kicker. If you overbet the pot with a good hand and the chance that he has caught a piece he may pay you off Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 max interpoker £0.03/£0.06 BB = £4.75 SB = $11.54 (Hero) Button = £8.70 CO = Sitting Out MP = £5.64 UTG = £3.10 (Villain) UTG limps in for £0.06, Button folds, Hero raises to £0.30, BB folds, UTG calls Flop (£0.66): 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero bets £0.45, UTG calls £0.45 Turn (£1.56): 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets £1.35, UTG calls £1.35 River ($4.26): K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, UTG goes all in for £1, Hero calls Hand 2 Notes on Villain: When he min bets he is bluffing probably about 80% of the time. He bet £0.50 into a £0.24 pot when he had top 2 pair kings and queens. Overplays TPTK and sometimes calls people down with middle pair. All in all he is a pretty bad player. Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB = £8.70 (Hero) SB = $5.60 (Villain) Button = £5.99 CO = Sitting out MP = £6.45 UTG = £4.24 All folds round to SB who raises to £0.12, Hero calls £0.06 Flop (£0.12): 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero checks Turn (£0.12): 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB bets £0.06, Hero raises to £0.30, SB calls £0.24 River (£0.72): 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets £0.60 |

Re: 8\'s on 6 high flop and a straight on river
Hand 1: Make it 0.4 preflop. Good play on flop and turn. On river you are getting 5 to 1 on your money, so even though this donk probably floated a king all the way, we call (don't we??)
Hand 2: Can't see the turn card. |

Sry, sry, sry :O I was verrrrrry drunk last night, don't even remember posting....or seeing this post. 1st one stinks of either AK or passively played aces.
You have a strong hand in the 2nd one, but what will he call you with apart from a 10. It's also reasonably likely he was drawing to the flush here. I'd bet .40 and pos fold to a shove. |

Re: 8\'s on 6 high flop and a straight on river
I can see the turncard now:
I wouldn't raise the turn, unless you are inducing a bluff. You are not really getting pot odds to call on turn, and since you are not even drawing to the nuts, I would probably lay on 4th street. River bet is fine as played. |
