Default Buy PRTY?

PRTY took a beating again today, down all the way to 87p. For an investor that does not think the gambling legislation will go though, this seems like a steal.

What am i missing?

The fact that it could very possibly be worthless in a short period of time.

He does stipulate that he doesn't believe the legislation will go through though.

You do understand that even if this legislation goes though, the stock still has value.

It's up 6% today on an impressive Q2 report. Time to take my position before it goes over 100p.

How much is it worth if the legislation goes through? How much is it worth if the legislation does not go through? What is the probability of the legislation going through?

Come up with a reasonable valuation for the stock under a bad legislative scenario. If PRTY is trading for a lot less than your worst case scenario you buy. If not you don't buy. There's nothing special about PRTY, so if it's not cheap enough to buy you just find something that is. If you do it this way, you'll do well. If you do things like buy PRTY 'before it goes over 100p' because you don't think the legislation will go through then you will be much better off keeping your money in CD's.
