Default Really strange spot

PS $2/$4 6m

Villain is 20/15/aggro over ~500 hands. No real reads, but seems like a stereotypical 2p2er. I have direct position on him at 2-3 tables and have been 3betting him a lot... but he is just folding a lot for now. I feel like he might be getting frustrated, but I'm not sure. My stats are 30/25/aggro... I've been very active both pre and postflop but have only been showing down winners.

Villain has $576 behind and I have cover

Shorty ($125) open limps, Villain (UTG+1) makes it $20, Hero (CO) makes it $67, Shorty folds, Villain calls.

Flop QhJc9c
Villain now leads $116. He has $393 behind.

What's my play/plan with AA->AQ, big draws, air, pair+draw, sets? Hope this post isn't too broad.

Very interesting bet, by villain here.
This is the first time he's called a 3-bet, you say?

The flop just nailed a lot of set range.

Since this is a re-raised pot, and hes OOP, I wouldn't think that there are too many big combo draws he could have here. AK[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] AQ[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pretty strange lead by him, in this case), maybe KQ[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and MAYYBE 78[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and maybe 8Ts.

Things like two pair, and the nut straight seem exceedingly unlikely, and I think he very rarely calls with KQ.

This bet is really strong, with these stack sizes. Wouldn't he check/raise with a big draw? Stacks are great for it. It looks more like he wants you to make a decision to push or fold.

So either he wants you to push, or he has an easy fold.

In other words:

Call with draws ,If you think he'll give up his bluff, then you can call one time with AQ+, but realize that you will usually often have to fold this on later streets. Hopefully you don't have some goofy hand like two pair, in this spot.

Bottom set would be really, really tough, I think, but Im sure I stack off with it.

Jim I could honestly see AA playing this way, I don't think I'd ever fold queens up. I do like calling with a draw as I think he never ever 2nd barrels, and you can probably get paid if you hit.
Edit: actually VP I like your line alot, its WA/WB imo since he's probably CRing draws, and I think he never fires 2 barrels.

how do you adjust your ranges if people lead into you like this in this situation 100% of the time?

Tough question.

Gotta start just going by instinct, I guess. Clearly, you can't just keep folding AQ+ here, if he's always leading at you here.

Unless he's calling your re-raise, pretty dang light, there just aren't that many combo draws that he could have.

So then, you push draws. You call AQ+, and sometimes call the turn with AA- sometimes.

Of course, this ignores all the times when he checks the turn, and gives up his bluff.

If he's doing this with good frequencies, though, this bet is very very strong.

all, to be honest i have no idea how to react. bigjim, this is not the first time he's called a 3bet from me but one of the first times he has invited me to play a big pot

maybe this is too broad... the actual hand went like this. i had acqx, he lead flop, i called, turn was the 2s. he pushed, i folded.

whats my plan here with aa? call/fold as well? what about a hand like AcKc? etc
