Cake Poker Gold Card issue
It shows when a player receives a gold card.
Low cards are MUCH more likely to turn into gold cards. Playing HU at decent limits, you get a lot of gold cards. See where I'm going? I can tell with a good probability that one of my opponent's cards is a low card and it helps for future play vs him. |

Re: Cake Poker Gold Card issue
I'm close to 100% certain the Gold Cards appear after the hand is completed.

Say the board was AKQKT and your opp. goes sick betting and raising. If he gets a gold card after the hand it's more likely he was getting out of line because one of his cards was likely a rag. So on that board it's very unlikely he had a full house. Probably only a tiny edge but high stakes hu it would mean a little something at least. |

Re: Cake Poker Gold Card issue
Hi folks,
The Gold Card does NOT come out until after the hand is complete. It lingers on onscreen for a few seconds before moving to the play who earned it so everyone can see what the card was. However, it's important to note that the card is not shown to the table unless the player shows his hole cards during the hand. IF he doesn't, then all the players see is the BACK of a Gold Card (and no one will know what the card was except the person who won it). You can "guess" it was a 2c, but you'll never know unless the player shows it. Yep, we're slow in the am, but look for about 4-7 tables going around 5-10pm ET if you need some action. I've posted here before about the fact we're not going to market the site heavily until we've hit a few milestones internally. Since we built the software, we don't want to rush and bring in tons of folks, only to have it crap out. That's why our ring game contest, the Gold Card 500, is paying out the same darn players $2,500 each week. They're the only ones who get it and with their 10 hours of play a week or so, they're easily getting into the friggen top ten each time. Thems the breaks though. Doug Doug |
