my first post - Pokertracker stats included
Hello everyone,
a well respected professional recommended to me that I join these forums to get better at poker. I look forward to all of your input on my poker game. I have played poker for almost two years now, mostly in homegames, and want to start seriously playing for money. I have a rudimentary understanding of the game, and an account with rakeback. Here are my statistics for my first few months of online poker: I truly appreciate any input you all may have Thank you! |

Re: my first post - Pokertracker stats included
I'll be interested in seeing the comments on your stats, but from the only thing I know your VPIP looks solid
one question, the last line, total rake... is that in dollars?? |

Raise more often preflop, if you have weak holdings stop firing 2nd barrels on the turn, play more aggressive on the river.

you pay 9 bb/100 in rake, that is your biggest leak.

Re: my first post - Pokertracker stats included
serious answer lol:
I only know 6max, so this pertains to 6max stats You are calling too much in the BB. This puts you at a positional disadvantage most of the time. Overall you are calling too much preflop. There is no prob with the VPIP dropping down a bit by folding hands such as QJ when theres a raise before you. Your flop, turn, and river aggression are good IMO, but preflop is low. RAISE MORE AND NEVER EVER EVER EVER open limp Steal the blinds a little bit more, not much. The numbers are pretty good there so not a huge adjustment |

Re: my first post - Pokertracker stats included
As everyone else above said, stop being so cally. VPIP is great, you have the dicipline to play well, just add the agression. Raise more preflop. Showing agression is half of the game online.
Fold your blinds more often. Don't complete in the small blind without a good hand. Small blind is a horrible position to play from and the half BB can really eat away your winrate over time. Judging from your 6max record, I'd say stick to that game, and give up on the full ring. You're probably better off starting out at 6max anyway, it's definitely the more popular animal in the holdem pound. BTW- your rake figures are nuts! |
