Villain is BT2. I have him at 11.0/9.5/4.1 over 1800 hands. Basically he is a nit and doesn't get too far out of line. 4betting preflop is not an option. I think my flop line is standard too. What should I do on the turn here? Should I have led the turn? If you say shove please let me know what his range for calling is. If you call then what is your river line for a blank, K, J?

I probably raise the flop.
As played, I think I call again, and open-shove the river (check fold if it's A or Q). |

I just stick it in on the turn...
If he has AA, [censored] him, but he is aggressive enough that this is still veryyyy +EV and a good spot to be in |

nothing else? I know that at least 10 of you play with him daily. He did 3bet my UTG raise and while I'm looser than most of you up front I'm still not raising super wide or anything. His range is wider than AA/KK here in your minds?

I don't know the dude (I don't play Party) but seems to me like the two obvious moves are: Option A) open shove on the turn; or Option B) c/c twice (unless the river's an A or Q).
There seems to be a debate about what this guy is capable of, but if Villain is LAG Option A seems good. There's a much better chance you're ahead and you don't want him to get a free card against the wider range (AJ, AK, TT etc) you're beating. If he really is a nit, I'd prefer Option B. I find it difficult to imagine a nit would 3-bet pf and then double barrel with anything other than AA or QQ here. Still, the chips are probably going in either way so I wonder if it really makes much difference how it's played on the turn and river... |
