Mouses that are good if you think you are getting Carpal Tunnel
Recently, I have noticed a pain in my right hand that I use with my mouse. The position in which I hold the mouse normally, seems to stress one of the tendons or something, I can't really play cards for a long period of time without it hurting, I have a Microsoft standard laser mouse (I don't know the brand name, i've had it for years).

Anyways, go to like best buy, put your hands on the mice, see which one feels most comfortable. Lots of people like Logitech's designs, but they don't appeal to anyone. Microsoft and Logitech are the big players. |

However, I think the verticalmouse is probably a better bet for you, since its basically designed to reduce hand strain. I bought it because my friend Ike told me that he was having problems with carpal tunnel, and that it eased them up. I also use a keyboard bench on my right to support my mouse, which I find to be more comfortable. This is pretty uncommon though. |
