To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
Won a seat into the Sunday Million last night off the 400 FPP rebuy. So what do you think MTT community? Play that sucker or tuck my tail between my legs and take the 200 bucks? I have sat. into this tourney 3 times and have only played it once for a no cash. What is the communities advice?

Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
What is your bankroll?
If I remember correctly, you had a roll of ~$2000 from a previous post. If that is the case, I'd unregister and take the t$. I would then use the t$ to play the usual $20 MTT's and maybe take a shot at some tourneys above your roll ($30s-$50s) rather than risk it on a tourney that is about 10 of your roll. You can always take a shot, the Million is apparently very soft, but if you want to play "up" you can always play 4 $50s or a combiation of $30s and $50s. |

Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
Yeah the BR is around 1500. I have taken the cash previously and played some cash games above my roll, (bad idea), with not much luck. My only feeling is that I got in off FPP's...the amount of which would equal to a snazzy Stars t-shirt.
And to the poster above you. 200 bucks would get you infinite dances in Tijuana! |

Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
since its FPPs that you are playing on, play the damn thing since it can only be good for your roll if you cash and doesnt hurt your roll since no money ever actually came out of it. this is a freeroll for you, IMO, enjoy it and have fun playing.

Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
OP, FWIW I have satellited into around 18-20 $215's and 5-7 $162's and haven't played one of them. My BR is also larger than yours and I feel like it's easier to grow a roll with a constant stream of $T to play with...

Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
ASPoker8...did you ever sat. by winning one of the FPP tournies? If I had sat. using cash I would be much more inclined to keep the tourney dollars. Since it was won using zero cash I am kinda viewing it as a free roll. There is something to be said to use the money to play in some mid range tournies (50's 55's)that are above my usual roll. But I like to gamble what can I say.
Interesting though, it is 2 to play and 2 to take the money and run...dead heat. |

Good discipline, ASPoker8
After winning 3 sats during the previous week, I decided to play Million. Playing above your bankroll sucks (thanks God, I didn't know about it 3 months ago when I sat'ed, played and easily cashed in the Million). This time I played pretty lame and busted during the 2nd hour T$ now for sure! Re: To Play or Not to Play, That is the Question
I have a similar bankroll as you do...more a hobby so everytime i get to about 2K i withdrawl 1K for the family...I made a deal with myself (and the wife) that if I won 2 seats in a week I cash out one and play one, regardless of how I got in (FPP or cash sat). I have won a few seats but never in the same week so i get T$ a lot...just something to think about
