I'm goona be in AC this weekend with some friends for a bachelor party and we're playing in both of these tournaments.
Does anyone have any info on the structure of these tournaments? ___1___ |

Re: AC: Caesars and Hilton 100+20 Saturday Tournaments
No idea about Saturday, but I played a Friday afternoon at Caesars a few months back, and it's not something I'll be doing again. IIRC, 5k starting stack, 25/50 blinds, 20-minute levels. I don't think it got two full tables, and the room is nothing to write home about.
Saturday and a bigger buy-in might make it better, but unless you're picking Caesars because the time is important to you, I'd recommend going elsewhere. They're both at 10.15 (awfully early...bring your own coffee), but the Taj and Trop are the same buy-in probably more worth your time--bigger fields, just as donkey. |

Re: AC: Caesars and Hilton 100+20 Saturday Tournaments
I only played at the Trop Saturday tourney. Same as most of the other tournies 4K or 5K starting stacks with 25/50 blinds and 20 minute levels. Antes in level 3 IIRC. There were about 10 tables when I played. It was basically the same structure as the Ballys tournament the night before. I think all the $100 tournaments are the same wherever you go.

The HOB tournament is like this, except no antes. Its a pretty fair structure as far as low-limit tournaments go, IMO.

I haven't played the other places, but I played the Showboat/HOB $40+10 tourney on a Saturday morning (11 a.m. start). No antes ever and even though they skip a couple blind levels in the middle, it's a pretty fair structure. And it's a 5K start with 25/50 blinds and 20 minute levels. I really, really like this room BTW -- very comfy, nicely spread out, etc. I highly recommend stopping by, even if you don't play the tourney. |
