Default *Official* Leak Exploitation Thread

Here's the idea. I will start by listing a leak, mistake, or maybe even a tendancy. The next person quotes it in their post and describes how to exploit it. Then they list a new leak, mistake, or tendancy. And so on.

Also, feel free to argue if you disagree with someone's strategy against a particular leak. It could generate some good discussion. Be as specific as you want with both the leaks and the strategy.

Example taken from TOP: "Mistake-Rarely folds a fair hand on any round. Strategy-Don't slowplay. Bet your decent hands for value."

So, I'll start with the following mistake:

Plays WAY too loose/passive preflop (like 65/10 in 6max), but is an excellent hand reader and post flop player.

(Assume 100BB stacks)

Pump your good hands more preflop. See more showdowns.

Mistake: Floats the flop too much.

Fire more second barrels and check/raise the turn with real hands.

Mistake: re-raises too often preflop

Open your 4-betting range.

Check/raise a lot of flops when you decide to just call.

Mistake: Calls out of the blinds too much.

Jim or anyone,

When you say open your 4-betting range, how would you open it? Are you more likely to 4bet AQo, 88, or 98s? Would you 4-bet bluff ever (hands like 76o)? (obviously dependant on particular opponent and stack sizes, but I'd just like if someone could expand on this topic.)

The interesting thing about 4-betting is that once your range is wider than AA-QQ/AK, pretty much EVERY other hand is a bluff, since you can't really expect to be called by worse hands As such, the hands that I prefer to make the play with are suited As (as they typically have the best equity against anything that calls), low PPs (they have as good or better chance of hitting than any other hand, that doesn't have overcards), and SCs, since they have the best overall equity over big pair (without overcards). If just called, I would usually just give up, expecting villian to have a big pair, and no FE, unless I flop something.

4-bet with Ax. then he can only have 3 combos of AA. As in the RBK thread in HSNL.

Fire a lot of second barrells. Check/raise on the turn a lot. Don't CB as much.

Mistake: Has a hard on for squeeze plays.
