pre flop is fine. The first flop is fine call. If i am counting the pot right your getting 15:1 on your first flop call and you have enough of a hand to call. Spike a 5,9 or 7 on the turn or get out. The second flop call is super easy closing the action getting 19:1. It sucks getting sandwiched but not alot you can do about it here.

You should have folded this pre-flop when it came back 2 to you. With only 2 people in the hand you aren't getting the odds you need to hit your set. When you do hit your set you aren't going to make up for the times when you miss your set. You want at least 4 people to make that call.

As played it looks like UTG+1 is either tricky or just c/r an over pair and you can fold on the flop.

I agree with you kerowo, but doesn't Hero have the PO to continue and see the turn?

The pot is huge, and he does have a bdsd....

Meh. He's over 12:1 on the first call which is enough for the 3.5 outs (I think) but he can't close the action and could get one bet to death. I hate chasing back door draws when everyone is going crazy. If you have an edge here it is small and there are better situations to exploit.

Afterwards i read that the UTB+1 player was a tricky trappy player that loved c/r. Also they both had AK and that hand was pretty frustrating as far as hands go.

I folded there and don't mind it one bit. I really did not want to get one bet to death.

Also, i was 14:1 on the flop so i'm pretty sure I had odds for my backdoor straight draw but it was marginal and I really did not feel like being trapped between two agressive players. The chance of one of them having an over pair was too high imo.

ckj,

If you folded where you stopped the action this is bad. You call the first time getting 15:1 not closing the action and then fold when the pot is offering you 19:1 and you are closing the action?

The flop pot is $6.37. At 0.25/0.50 that would be 25:1 which is enough even for 2 outs.

I'm definitely missing something!

3 players saw the flop for $1 plus the BB called one bet plus the small blind that is 12+2+.5=14.5 bets. So after the first guy bets, pot is laying me 15.5:1 to call.

Getting 12:2 against possibly two over pairs? If he flops a set here he will be rolling in the quarters.
