I hope so ... anything would be an improvement for that team, such a disappointment Dusty was for the (f)ailing Cubs. Not like he had control over the injuries, but he could have done a better job with his situation.

Kerry Wood came up with bad mechanics and blew out his arm before Baker got there. Which of Prior's problems are due to Baker, the line drive off his elbow or the achilles in spring training?

I'm sure a half way decent manager would have only lost 93 games with the Cubs this year.

It needs to be either Girardi or Fredi Gonzalez. Somebody that is looking to PROVE something, not some guy resting on his laurels. Also they really need to get to bottom of the whole Marlins fiasco with Girardi and find out if he's really capable of being a manager.
