Re: What is in Sacramento?
For fun, I liked the Limelight on Alhambra between J and K. It's a decent bar with 4 tables in back, with 3/6 and 4/8. It's got nice atmosphere, good beer, and horrible players.
The biggest room in the city proper is Capital Casino on 16th downtown, with about 10 tables. They have higher limits (12/24?), and is more like a typical california card room in feel. For NL I've heard good things about the Lucky Derby in Citrus Heights, but I've never been there. |

They used to have a great game, but last time I was there (almost a year now) it was 2/4 100 max NLHE with a $5 drop taken pre-flop. They also had a $100 + 20 tourney that was short stacked and blinds went from 400-800 to 1k-2k in a single leap. There are better NL games and great deep stack tourneys in Oroville with great blind structures. As for Colusa - it is absolutely horrible. I have not been back becasue it was so bad. I hope they change it. |

Re: What is in Sacramento?
Capital plays up to 9/18. It's probably the nicest room in Sacramento, but nothing special. 3/6 and 4/8 games are full of awful players, but then again, it's 3/6 & 4/8.
Not the best of neighborhoods, but be careful and you'll be OK. |

In addition to the listed rooms, there is also Phoenix Casino located in Citrus Heights. They have 4-8, NL, Omaha, and 10-20 going most nights. Capitol runs a 12-24 on Fri-Sat also. |
