$215 JJ
Not liking my hand much after the flop here.
How's the line? I have to say I think I'm ahead most times but this early in the tournament someone risking everything must have better than JJ? TT or QQ+ or an OESD Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t25/t50 8 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t10000 UTG+1: t10000 MP1: t10000 Hero: t10000 CO: t10000 Button: t10000 SB: t10000 BB: t10000 Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to t150, MP1 folds, Hero raises to t450, CO raises to t975, 4 folds, Hero calls t525 (pot was t1650). Re: $215 JJ
Fold to the flop bet, you're playing for set value by calling preflop.

His continuation bet is 50% though! [/ QUOTE ] so? we still dont have odds to call to hit a jack or a runner runner.. It would be different if the flop was 89T |

Re: $215 JJ
Look at his preflop 4bet, do you really think he's doing that light? I would put his range as KK+ and heavily weighted towards AA.

Re: $215 JJ
Maybe but I would 4bet with AK as well, though most don't.
Wouldn't you bet more on the flop for value if you had KK+ hand? |

Re: $215 JJ
I would only call preflop for set-value, so on the flop I would check/fold

Re: $215 JJ
The problem here is you're turning your hand into a bluff by c/r if you're planning to fold to a shove. You might as well have 72o. Agree with gobbo, fold the flop and if you reeeely don't believe opp. then c/c one street reeval turn but even that I don't like because of all the overs that can hit the turn and if a 2 comes and you check and he fires a 2nd barrel you've gained no additional info.
I just call the 150 pre or raise a bit more if I'm going to rr also. |
