Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has given voice to how other world leaders see our very own El Presidente Bush, or as President Chavez refers to Bush: "Mr. Danger." LOL!
Some quotes: [ QUOTE ] "You are a donkey, Mr. Bush," said Chavez, speaking in English on his weekly Sunday broadcast. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] "You're an alcoholic Mr. Danger, or rather, you're a drunkard," Chavez said, referring to Bush by a nickname he frequently uses to describe the U.S. president. [/ QUOTE ] linky It's ironic that President Chavez actively works against America and yet, net-net, his presence has probably had a minimal negative effect on the United States. Meanwhile, "Mr. Danger" has tried to make the world safer and all he has accomplished is to create a terrorist breeding ground in Iraq. Chavez, in his wildest dreams, could never do as much damage to the U.S. as "Mr. Danger" has. Respective of that, perhaps Chavez should change his nickname for Bush from "Mr. Danger" to "Mr. Burns," the character on the Simpsons who is only capable of doing evil -- even when he tries to do good. |

[ QUOTE ]
"You are a donkey, Mr. Bush," said Chavez, speaking in English on his weekly Sunday broadcast. [/ QUOTE ] Just another example of poker lexicon making its way into popular discourse. If this plays out like a typical NL tournament (and if Bush truly is a donkey), he'll definitely min-raise after Chavez led out there. Can't wait 'til I hear a noted pundit or some member of Congress lamenting the fact that, with our ever increasing national debt, we're in danger of going BUSTO!!!!1!!!11! |

There is one major area of unrest in the world today that threatens us. That's the middle east. If 10 or 20 years down the road that region has become democratic and stable, was Bush's proactiveness worthwhile? Surely.
Spending and trade deficit - Bad Quoting Hugo Chavez - Very Bad Defending ourselves & others who can't defend themselves - Good |

Saddam started the first Gulf War on his own accord. We went in and defended Kuwait. We lost American soldiers in that war!! Saddam signed a peace treaty. He didn't live up to the conditions of that treaty. How ridiculous would we be if we let him completely disregard the treaty that he signed? That would mean that every American soldiers life that was lost in the first Gulf War was in vein. We simply had to go back into Iraq, if for nothing else than to make sure our fallen brothers gave their lives for a reason. If you have something constructive to say, say it. Don't just give a silly little computer sigh in a lousy attempt to belittle what i said. Did we defend others? Yes. Are we defending ourselves. Yes. Plain and simple.

Huge Chavez is hardly a typical world leader, but I do believe he's voicing what a lot of other world leaders wish they could. And fwiw, I think he's dead on.
