Best Players Union?
Obviously subjective as to what "best" means, but who do you think has the best CBA or strongest union? A handful of pros and cons to start.
Baseball: Pros: Soft Salary cap (revenue sharing) Guaranteed contracts Con:long service time to reach FA 6+ years Football: Pros: Moderate period to FA signing bonuses Guarenteed Cons: Contracts not G'd Hard salary cap Basketball: Pros short service time to FA G'd contracts exceptions to cap cons: Cap, max deals, refs rigging games NHL: what a great idea that strike was. Tons more to go, initially I like basketball for the fairest to the players, football the least fair. |

Re: Best Players Union?
Isn't The MLBPA one of the strongest unions in the country?
And you have signing bonuses gtd. as a "plus" for NFL, when full contracts are Gtd in MLB and NBA |
