Re: That\'s some flop!
Fold preflop.
If KQo is ahead of his raising range from MP, then reraise preflop. I find it unlikely that you are ahead with 2-pair when he could easily have AT, JJ, QQ, or KK. Sure, he might have AK or QJ or AA, but I doubt he'd stack off with those hands on this flop. He might even have 9Ts since he made a raise that you didn't challenge with a reraise. He might also have some combo draw that he's playing fast on the flop. But that's the problem with being OOP with top 2-pair short-handed in a raised but not reraised pot. You have a great hand, but it really isn't that good for your whole stack. But you can't see what he does before you have to act. So, all I can say is that you probably should have folded or reraised preflop. As played, I don't think there is a place to find a fold. So, I guess the post-flop play looks OK if villain is very aggressive with draws and 1-pair hands on scary boards. |

[ QUOTE ] Fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] I loled [/ QUOTE ] Why call heads up OOP instead of fold or reraise? You are out of position post flop. You will miss the flop 2/3s of the time. Is the plan to donk bet any flop with K-high as a stop-n-go? It would seem reraise or fold preflop would be better than call. And since the raiser only has a 15% PFR, my guess is that KQo isn't a big favorite over his range. I'd have to look at PokerStove to see how KQo fairs against the top 15% of preflop hands, but it's probably close to 50-50. So, folding isn't so bad. And if you want to play, then it would be better to sieze the initiative with a reraise than call and play the rest of the hand without initiative and without position. |
