Default Music at Parties...

what kind of music do u like to hear when u go to a house party? I make the playlists at my parties and always have an extensive genre selection (from jazzy/funk to hiphop to electronica).

just lookin to add some new stuff and was looking to see what u like to listen to in terms of genre and also if u can give some artists/songs.

thnx

Also, towards end of party you must play Fatman Scoop- be Faithful because when he starts saying "Who [censored] -ing tonight? Who [censored] -ing tonight?" you can seal the deal for the night with a look.

You have to start the night with rap music while people start drinking and getting into the swing of the party. After like the first hour, mix in some electronica. Music for people to sing along to should only be played after the party is in full swing and people are buzzed/drunk and have been dancing for awhile. As for specific songs, some that people forget to include too often are:

Dead or Alive: You Spin Me Round
Madonna: Like a Prayer (lol chicks going nuts over a song about BJs)
Eddie Money: Take Me Home Tonight
Kenny Loggins: Footloose
The Romantics: What I Like About You
Billy Idol: Mony Mony

There's a lot more, and you don't need but 2 or 3 of these per night. You can also include Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer, and almost anything by Michael Jackson (I hear Thriller a lot -- love it -- but I almost never hear Don't Stop Til You Get Enough).

Oh yeah, Sweet Home Alabama too.
