Hey,
I just wanted to see what broker you use to buy stocks? I am with fidelity right now. Do they compare OK or are there better (cheaper) sites? |

If all you're looking for is cheap commissions, there are plenty out there with lower commissions than Fidelity. Scottrade, TD Ameritrade, Ameritrade Izone (part of TD Ameritrade), Brown Co, I think even E-Trade is cheaper.

Pretty sure etrade is cheaper. Its what I use online, but really due to convenience and the fact that I am Canadian so it is more limited up here. Although TD Ameritrade is good and I might switch soon. Im not sure of the others, but the reason I like etrade canada is their cash optimiser accounts which pay high rates on US cash sitting around (good for a poker player like me)

Overall, Fidelity is the highest rated "Premium Discount" Broker according to SmartMoney Magazine for the fourth year in a row,
The Right Broker for You You can certainly find cheaper brokers. If you want lower commissions, then you might explore some of the "Deep Discount" brokers. I have accounts at both Fidelity and E*Trade. The service at Fidelity is much better. The commission prices at E*Trade are lower. I really miss HarrisDirect. They were better than both Fidelity and E*Trade. |
