I've dragged several pots in a row at this $5/$10 table, mostly on the turn and river without showdown. Still felt like I should've found the raise button on one of these three streets. Bashful? Dopey? Sneezy?
Preflop: (6 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG (a tenacious 24/20/2.4) raises, loose-passive HJ coldcalls, 3 folds, Hero calls. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6.4SB, 3 players) Hero checks, UTG bets, HJ folds, Hero calls. Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4.2BB, 2 players) Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls. |

I don't think an ace ever folds. KK/QQ is unlikely to fold on a board like this. JJ/88 never fold unless maybe you commit to firing the river. 77/99/TT take you to to the cleaners. KQ folds but doesn't always bet the turn.
you have pretty sweet equity - 15+ outs vs almost his entire range, so it's a cheap raise of really only about 2/3 of a BB to win 6, but I don't think you're going to get it quite often enough. |

[/ QUOTE ] IMO, the hero has played this hand perfect so far. Learning when to semi-bluff is obviously an important skill. Learning when NOT to semibluff is an important skill also. This is a classic example of when not to semi-bluff. |

What about a flop checkraise and turn lead? |

Here's a question - what, if any, rivers should hero donk?
8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] certainly, as it's a pretty scary card for Ax to bet - B) you might get raised by AJ or QJ and get to 3-bet. |
