Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
you pretty much invited him to do that. obviously he didnt have a huge hand on the turn, or he would have bet it out.
why not just bet the flop? |

Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
Why didn't you bet the flop? Also this river call is tough because of the check raise on the turn which is a huge strength play. If the guy is decent i would actually lean towards a fold.

Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
is betting flop in this spot a must?
I often check it behind with weaker hands in such spot, so i assumed i should also do that with tptk:/ |

Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
i think you're going to see the same hand a lot in this spot. You are calling for a chop very often here, and losing to AA (unlikely) and 99 (just as unlikely). 22 is probably not in his range. I think you see AQ as often as you see AA/99, and you tie everything else, so you are at least 2:1 here and you should call.

Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
i make it $5.5 pf
as played i cbet $7. since hes decent i'd prolly check behind turn and shove river if he bets (wont be much more than he bet), or bet if checked too. as played id bet more on the turn, call his raise. no idea on the river, your line looks really weak so he oculd be trying to push you off TT-KK. i think its unlikely he'd check a strong hand twice, but possible. hmm, the more i think about i think i call, his line looks so odd, i think he has air a lot. |

Re: Ak blind battle vs a tag
I think what make this more a call than a fold is the percentage of the time he does the turn cr with a flush draw.
