Default Best part of the head to strike for a knockout

Lets say you're given one clear blow to the head of someone who you know would kick your ass. Mike Tyson lets say. There is no way out of fighting him. The good knews is that hes crazy enough that hes willing to give you a free swing to his head or neck with a telescopic rod (the extendable ones police use), or your fist if you prefer. Personally, I'd thank him graciously and take the rod. Obviously you have only one shot at this. What part of the head/neck are you trying to strike him in?

Larynx, then temple. Temple is more effective to knock someone out probably, but the larynx is pretty much foolproof if you wanted destroy somebody.

That's what I'd do in a really extreme situation.

In real life situation it most likely causes severe breathing problems that are likely to make the villain panic and you'll be able to escape.

I'm not sure how big the chance is that it would crush Mike Tyson's throat and choke him, but I'm pretty sure it's much better option than trying to punch him unconscious.

Edit: Missed the rod option. The previous is what I'd do if I could only use my fists.
I'd of course take the thin and metallic rod that can crush a bone with even a moderate swin.
The impact area is so small that any decent swing will crush a skull and that should be it. I'd probably go for the back of the head, somewhere in the middle.

As another poster suggested. Hit him with the rod from behind slightly above the neck.

What? I think I've seen a fair share of mma fights out there and the temple is usually not what guys are swinging at. Now with the rod, sure. With your bare fist, I don't know if you want to risk having a broken fist and a murderously pissed off Tyson.
