Re: Connecting my laptop to my TV
yes S video would be the easiest way, though just know that the quality won't be very good on your TV. If your tv is an LCD TV and has vga ports in the back, you can just connect a VGA cable from your laptop to the TV

Re: Connecting my laptop to my TV
Is VGA to HDMI also another way to go?
Is it worth to spend extra money to get that? I don't think my TV has a VGA input. |

Re: Connecting my laptop to my TV
VGA to HDMI could get pricey, if you can even find an adapter. I use a DVI to HDMI cable with nice results - 25 bucks well spent. Or you could buy a new vidoe card - the NVidias usually come with a breakout dongle to component included.
To the OP: You'll be disappointed if you go S-video. Text looks pretty godawful at 480i. You might consider hooking a desktop to the TV instead. |

Re: Connecting my laptop to my TV
Buy a tv box, it lets you connect your computer to your tv. i had to get one when i was building a home made projector.
