Check turn yo. Fold to the shove.

Re: AJ facing all in
given your read either raise flop or check turn. I prefer calling the flop and checking the turn. Simply because you have a pair of Jacks and want to keep this pot small.

Re: AJ facing all in
Hop into a time machine and raise the flop?
If you can't travel back that far in time, then just go back far enough to check behind on the turn and control the pot size. As played, 2nd pair with even the best kicker will seldom stand up. Stuk |

Re: AJ facing all in
At the time, I figured he had a flush draw but was concerned that it might have been something with the Qs. He'd shown that he was capable of bluffing and willingness to do it a lot so I called anyway. He showed 56 with one spade and my hand held up.

Re: AJ facing all in
I think that villain would have made his move on the flop if he was going to do it. I think he has QJ here most of the time so I would fold. This is not a big pot hand

Kinda hard to describe those sort of players in words. I think this is fine if villian continually tries to outplay hero with hands like 6 high, or bottom pair, etc. |

Re: AJ facing all in
Ok, so here is my thinking; you have to raise him on the flop with that hand for information. If he plays right back at you then yes, you could probably dump it (although everyone knows top pair ace kicker is das nuts), but there's a good chance he's merely c-betting this flop with just about anything ranging from 55-AA. More likely than not, he has a hand like Q10-AK, meaning there is a good chance he missed here, so you MUST raise to find out exactly how strong he is. Solid raise to $6 or $7 should do the trick here. The way you played the hand you leave yourself no options on the turn but to fold to overcards, a spade, or maybe even a card that would complete a straight. Raise the flop and hope for the best, holla.
