The rain has started here in Western WA. They're calling it the worst downpour since the flooding of 1995. 1-2 inches tonight, 1-2 inches Monday, and 1-2 inches Monday night. Strangely, the Seahawks have only played 1 or 2 games ever in the rain at Qwest when you would think it was a lot more, so I wouldn't say they have some huge advantage due to the weather. But there's no doubt about what it will be like tomorrow. Heavy rain and winds 25-35 mph.
With Hasselbeck and Alexander out, I see the Hawks getting very conservative tomorrow so that Oakland's stingy DBs cannot pull a PITT on them and score off turnovers. The crowd is a huge factor and if Oakland's offense has been bad this year, it should be terrible tomorrow, lots of penalties. All this makes the game look like a low scoring affair, I'll predict 16-10 SEA. This would be well under the total of 37. That being said, the rain could lead to a few turnovers resulting in possible defensive TDs. If anyone has some info about the effect of heavy rain on totals, please add it here! So the pick is U37. |

I think SA's going to be back this game. That said, I completely agree with this play.

That said, don't look for Shaun tomorrow partly due to the bad weather and mostly due to the fact that they are playing OAK. Imagine the headlines if he slips in the rain and re-cracks the foot! No weiner dog to blame it on either. |

Also, totals are usually inflated on MNF anyway (squares love overs) and Oakland's average total this year is only 34.3. I love this play.

This is looking really good. It's already a 30 cent arb from last night, or a zero cent arb with a middle at 35-36. Hey Homer, what is the play?

Ummm, does Art Shell ever speak? He just stands there on the sideline like he has no idea what is happening. I'm beginning to wonder if he was just hired as a stand-in to imitate the good ol days and there are nerdy white coordinators in the booth calling all the plays...
