How to play KK
I am looking for some good advice on how to play KKxx. It seems like the right move is to bet the pot preflop, but from there things get a little hazy. Over the last two days, I've had my KK up against AA on three different occasions. Not to mention it seems on flops like Q79 the hand becomes an instant fold.
I'd really appreciate any advice you guys have on what you do with KK, what flops you like to see (besides flopping a K) etc. Any help would be mighty appreciated. |

Re: How to play KK
Why does it have to be "besides flopping a K"?
I raise bad kings up PF in position to thin the field and hopefully play it heads-up to the flop where a c-bet often times takes it down. If PF raises won't thin the field or you are in a bad position at your table, I see little reason to raise them up. And good kings obviously play for much more than just set value or the hope that your opponent misses. |
