5/10 J10s flop decision
Don't have HH for this but here goes.
I've been playing really tight so far but haven't played many hands yet so I don't know if villain sees this. As for villain I have no reads yet. Hero: $1000.00 Villain covers. 4 handed J10cc I have the Button raise 35, SB folds, BB makes it 135. I call. Flop comes: 3 9 8 rainbow. He bets 190 (675 behind), I...? |

Re: 5/10 J10s flop decision
Thanks for the input this is basically what I hoped to hear.
I did shove flop, villain had KK. Reason why I posted this is because there was some interesting chat afterwards regarding my flop play, and I began to question it myself. Preflop I will agree to though, not enough to indicate a light 3-bet. PS. hit a Q. |

Either push or call and shove turn [/ QUOTE ] villian could easily push turn, and we have to fold. push all in is the only options here. |

Definite flop push, and I agree with other posters about folding preflop.

Either push or call and shove turn [/ QUOTE ] You are seeing the stack sizes right>? If you got the villain on an big overpair how isnt he going to call getting those odds by a turn reraise by us...and how isnt he going to push or at the very least pot stick himself with a big bet on turn if he say has queens and another undercard hits the board. I GUESS you could call/steal if he checks but obviously that isnt preferrable to pushing here....especially bc its a rainbow. He is going to think you hit top 2 or a set and fold or gamble with you...I think he will grudgingly fold mostly though and with the money already in that makes it a fine play. Id probably fold preflop heads up bc 100 bucks is just too steep when folding equity is lessened by such a show of strength...but it depends on the game/opponent. A fold preflop is almost always correct the reraiser does a good job of raising enough to make this a bad play...if he only raised TOO 100 its a different story really. A jack high flop here blows BTW unless you have a really good read on the reraiser. |
