TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
Villain is completely unknown, just sat down. What does everyone do here and why?

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
A common and tricky spot.. Default line wud probably be to call flop, maybe lead turn for like halfpot if no heart/ fold to a big raise, if called an no heart falls on the river i wud probably c/c... But interested to hear hoiw other people play in these standard spots that I have been misplaying for a period...

I prob flat, and bet/shove a heart turn and bet/fold a non-heart or A/K turn.

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
FWIW I think a default line should be to fold against an unknown. It seems weak at first but we are going to suffer from some pretty bad RIO and we are oop. Showdown is a long ways away from here and we arent really ahead of much.

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
Whoops, didn't realize u had the A of hearts, makes this slightly more tricky... Agree that a muck should be the default line on most boards, however with a wet board like this I would have problems laying it down on the flop..

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
If I was in position I could call this bet and see what he does on various turns. However, I am oop and if he chooses to double barrel I pretty much have to fold. So if he does this with a draw, which is one of the few hands I am ahead of, I am still having to give up. I dont like having to face possibly two bets with my hand on this board. The other option is to 3 bet but I think that is fairly spewy against an unknown.

Yep, if ur gonna call here, I like a lead on the turn to a blank...

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
i think versus unknown its fold
if you see hem play any broadway that way you get 50% equity, but you dont have any reads on hes aggression,so ill probably will give hem credit here, specialy that he have position on you |

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
I think a timing tell will give us some information on min raises.
In my experience, a snap min raise is a weakish top pair looking to see where he stands in the hand. Definitely doesn't have TPTK beat. A c/min raise is VERY different. If we get c/min raised we're usually slaughtered. If he thinks about it theres a higher likelihood we're up against 2 pairs or sets. Seems trivial but has been a valuable set of reads for me. |

Re: TPTK drawy board - fairly common spot
That doesnt really help much with this spot though. I dont have a timing tell, if I did I would have mentioned it. Im curious what everyone does against an unknown, not someone we have reads on.
