2/5 NL - $1k deep
thanks for any input and feedback since i rarely post no limit hands.
i have crazy image but have gotten my stack up by playing pretty good postflop. some bluffs i've shown: -- two barreled a king high rainbow board. -- bluff raised in position a river flush card -- flashed the 3c when i 4 bet somebody preflop. winning hands: -- potted the river w/a boat on a paired board when the flush didn't get there. -- 3/4 pot the river when the flush hit on turn and the aggresor on every street checked the river. -- potted turn against a short stack all in with trip fives. i stacked the villain (button) earlier in the night when i called on the turn w/pair + straight/flush draw vs his TPTK and i hit. he'd be very happy to double up through me althought he's been avoiding me. BB: 2k Straddle: 1k me: cover button: 1k straddle is on, i open for $40 w/KQ some where near the button. button (ABC player but thinks i'm full of it) calls, nut peddling BB calls, and straddler (loose/passive) calls. flop: ($160) Qc 7s 6c checked to me. . . i fired $150 and get promptly raised by the button to $350. other two players fold, and now i'm faced with button who has 600 left. ugh. i really screwed up pot control here. what's my play now? and what should've been my bet size originally, if at all? |

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
I would have done like $25-30 preflop then like $75 on the flop normally, but considering you got 3 callers for $40 it doesn't look like $25-30 would have done much.

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
let's say you're a 40 yo white guy rocking the 2006 bellagio hat and playing twenty dollar bills instead of $100s. what would you do w/a set of 7s against the most craziest "gambler" you've played against in 2 months? what would you do with a naked queen?
(this guy probably never played online and goes to the public library for email and probably couldn't spell Patrik Antonious with a gun to his balls.) |

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
hey bro, interesting hand. i check this flop a lot, or i bet less; i'm almost never potting it, but if i do i don't think i'm folding. esp with the crazy image you describe yourself having, this guy could think any Q is good. an aside: $20 bills play at venetian? oh, and you spelled "antonius" wrong |

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
yo mike. guy pulled out 5 benjies and the rest in 20s.
i dunno. i hate this spot but a bet under $100 would've worked. i tanked and mucked and he shows a queen so yeah, i just gave up some equity there by outplaying myself. oh well. good to know next time i run hot and get to play deepstack live. |

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
Raise to $15 or $20 preflop, cbet $50 on flop. I hate your preflop raise size, and as played, I'd say very ez fold postflop.

Re: 2/5 NL - $1k deep
it was straddled, his pfr was fine. id raise this much in a deep live fishy game anyway, i want to build pots with these clowns. assuming i was getting 1-2 callers.
