Default WSOP 2k7 Omaha 8 Events; Whose Getting Ready?

These events look good to me:

Event #9 Limit O8 June 5th, 2007. $1500 buyin, 3k chips, 60m blind levels.

Event #42 Pot Limit O8 June 25th, 2007 $1500 buyin, 3k chips, 60m blind levels.

Event #44 Limit O8 June 27th, 2007 $2000 buyin, 4k chips, 60m blind levels.

Yes, I personally excluded the World Champsionship O8 - Event #36. I'm being realistic, I would never play it unless I won 10x the buyin from poker. That's really wishful thinking.

Only event 44 has been there in the past. The other earlier dated events are new additions. Which I like!

It's not often you get decent sized field Omaha 8 tournaments going on at this buy-in range.

I think for a U.S. based player who plays online, the only way to simulate/replicate playing through such a field (possibly 600-800 guess) is to play in the lower buyin on PokerStars. I know Full Tilt has those double stack LO8 and PLO8 that starts with 3k tournament chips.

Anybody with good field predictions? Event #44 had 670 players, with 1st prize $341,426

I wouldn't mind having a massive amount of players for the earlier events. Anything to fluff up the prize pool.

I'll be playing event #42

BTW Red...is the famed Redman-TStone match still going to happen?

when you plan to be in Las Vegas, let me and everyone else know, and we'll play a HU LO8 freezeout at 100-200.

it's an open offer.

we can do it this weekend or we can do it during the WSOP.

I'll be playing the PLO8 event. I've never played live pot-limit poker before. Can I just announce, "I bet the pot" or "I raise the pot" and then let the dealer figure out the amount of the bet? Or do I actually have to pay attention to the growing size of the pot and announce the correct size of my bet? I feel lost without a "bet pot" button or at least a little slider bar I can click.

Yes, this is what they do in the previous PLO Events.

I should be landing in Vegas around July 5th this year I think, to take down "the big dance"
