Default MTT 45 players - sit out first 2 levels?

Playing a lot of 45 player MTT`s lately (3$ and 6$) and since there is a lot of craziness going on in the early levels, here`s my question:

Does it makes sense to just sit out the first or even the first two levels since the low blinds don`t really matter or would you recommend to get in there right away hoping to double up against one of the maniacs?

Seriously. Play ABC poker. Raise premium hands. Value bet to death. Limp with good multi-way hands in pots with a lot of players. If you sit out, you are wasting opportunities to pick up chips off the terrible players. By time you sit in, these players will be gone and others will have larger chip stacks.

Thanks so far. And I do play tight ABC poker.

I was just thinking sitting out would prevent me losing chips to players who pay everything for a draw and getting there.

Very common example you all should know:

Blinds 10/20 i pick up AK raise to 80, get 2 callers. 2 cards same suit on the flop with lets say an ace or king, i bet about 80% of the pot, get a call. Turn the same story, he calls and finally completes his flush or whatever.

a)would be just checking the better idea?
b)sitting out would prevent those suckouts and a loss of chips since better players don`t chase expensive draws.

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding. You want them to chase draws without odds. Bet more I suppose if your calling river bets that are effectively giving them implied odds.

let me get this straight. you want to sit out the first two levels when the [censored] players are giving their chips away, and then sit in when the [censored] players are gone and try to win against the better players!

you have much to learn young padiwan

I'm pretty sure it just gets crazier as the tourney goes on. This most definitely is a bad idea. I cannot think of a single positive side of sitting out

i play a lot of big SNG or i guess that you could call it MTT from 27,45 and the 90 and i play really tight b/c there are ppl who almost are trying to double up and willing to gamble or just move on to the next game.... just play really tight and don't get mixed into a lot of drawing hands like that sort... another approach that pros like daniel negreanu they like to double up early by one of those maniacs and then take control of the table and bully the table... depends on your style and if you can not get to insane when you have a big stack and control

DO NOT SIT OUT! Do not play overly tight! This is one of the best places to get it in with an edge
