100nl: TPGK on awkward board
I just sat down a hand ago. I don't know anything about Villain but his PF limp suggests that he cannot be great.
What is my plan on this river? Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter Hero (SB): $99 BB: $100 UTG: $116.50 MP: $75 CO: $97.45 BTN: $75.10 Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB) 2 folds, CO calls $1, BTN calls $1, Hero raises to $6, BB folds, CO calls $5, BTN folds Flop: ($14) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $11, CO calls $11 Turn: ($36) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $28, CO calls $28 River: ($92) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero ? |

Re: 100nl: TPGK on awkward board
You're only beat by the nut flush or by Xs8x which is pretty unlikely given PF. If you check you gotta fold cause he's not bluffing with those stacks. So shove.
EDIT : c/f actually, didn't realise you were splitting with lower aces wtf |

He's not splitting with lower aces here.
With no reads I probably check that turn. As played I am thinking c/f |

Re: 100nl: TPGK on awkward board
I'd c/f to an instashvove here, but I'd c/c as we would only have to be right roughly 35% of the time for it to be a profitable call, and I think we are good >35% of the time here

Re: 100nl: TPGK on awkward board
I was going to say 1/2 pot it and fold to a raise as he'll raise anything that beats you other than a better A, but that would be puke inducing considering your committed.
I thought about it and prefer a c/c over a c/f. Assuming hes a donk, (he flatted out of the CO we we will) he is more likely to shove a missed draw/pair type of hand than an A that beats you, and although he'll sometimes have an 8, and nut flush, your getting 2:1 and a bad bluff makes up a significant part of his range. Shoving is the easiest move but worse I think, considering you're folding out all the hands your beat, and getting called by better. |

Re: 100nl: TPGK on awkward board
How about a c/c? You can't fold to a shove, given his stack and the pot size, so give him a chance to bluff. If you shove, some hands that called along may fold, such as a busted nut draw with a pair (presumably not the ace). I'm really thinking c/c here.
