AK UTG against LAG - B&M
$5-$200 spread limit in brick and mortar casino. I have about $600 and other principal is fairly LAGgy with about $1000. He is on the button, which is a $2 blind in this game and I am UTG. Big and small blinds are $3 and $5.
I get AKo UTG and raise to $15. I get 5 callers including the button, who's range is unlimited as far as I can tell. From a stone cold bluff to AA. The flop comes K 3 x rainbow. I lead out for $25 and 2 call, then the button raises to $75. He's been pushing people off hands all day with nothing. I call, everyone elses folds. Turn is a 9. I check, he bets $75, I call. River is a 10. No flush possibilities on board. He bets $200, which is the max in this game. I think it's entirely possible he has KQ or even nothing at all, so I call. |

I think it is okay with the history you describe. Why is the 3 not an X on the flop, why did that one matter but the other card not? Or is it just because you did not remember what it was? I do that a lot.

Re: AK UTG against LAG - B&M
Looks fine. The flop is all rags and he raises, and depending on what the x card is, there don't seem to be any reasonable 2 pair combinations. Vs. a LAG I'm almost never giving credit for the set, so if he's capable of bluffing or value betting a worse K then there's no way you should be folding.
FWIW, if he gets to showdown a lot you might consider checkraising another 200 on the river (if KQ/KJ type hands will call). |

Looks ok. I'd raise the flop looking to get it all in versus an opponent like you describe.
I really really hate AK OOP in live low-stakes games =(. |

You bet $25 into a pot of about $100 on the flop?
