AKs... line check please! NLSNG
Villain seemed to take his time calling pf. I didn't know what to make of the c/r here, but that I have basically been running dude over. I think he has been trying to play back a bit, but not to any success. I think I could have played this better. Thoughts on all streets appreciated.

Re: AKs... line check please! NLSNG
I think your bet sizes are kinda small, I would prob make it 180~200 pf, and on the flop I would bet a little over 1/2 pot.
With those odds and that deep after his minraise I think itīs ok to call trying to hit a K or A, but I canīt say I love that spot. |

JayShark, are you suggesting that I take this to showdown?

Re: AKs... line check please! NLSNG
You need to win ~ 34% of the time to show a profit .
If we're behind , then certainly we don't have the right odds to continue . So we have to assign a probability for us presently having the best hand . Say x % of the time , we actually have the best hand and win ~ 88% (2x rule for suckouts) . The rest of the time we win about 25% of the time (reasonable guess) . For calling to be profitable , we need to evaluate the value of x . So we wish to solve: x*0.88 + (1-x)*0.25 >=0.34 x>=14.2857% You can probably answer this better than us . Do you think you have the best hand ott more than ~ 14% of the time ? |

No, if I thought that I would have shoved PF.

Re: AKs... line check please! NLSNG
I'd go 200 preflop and ~280 on the flop.
Edit: On the flop I would call a min raise, fold to a shove. If he just called I would shove the turn. |

[/ QUOTE ] Scrap that whole post actually, I haven't played in 20 blinds for a while. 180 preflop, 250 post flop, I'd call the min raise but I wouldn't be happy about it. |
