Default JJ turbosqueeze. dumb?

i was new to the table, and didn't have any hands on utg. i had hands on a couple of the others, and they were fairly fishy.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $12.35
Hero (BB): $11.50
UTG: $10.40
MP: $6.25
CO: $4.35
BTN: $6.75

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG raises to $0.30, MP calls $0.30, CO calls $0.30, BTN calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, Hero raises all-in to $11.50, 5 folds

what are my other options here?

i could raise, but if i get, say, 2 callers, i'm going to be in a huge pot oop with JJ where no one is going to fold anything that they like on the flop.

i could check, but that seems like kind of a waste since i probably have the best hand.

i figured pushing was best since there was already 15% of a buyin on the table. do you think this is correct on my part?

if i get 2 calllers, there's going to be something like $8+ in the pot on the flop (6+ with 1), and i'll be sitting there with 9 behind oop wondering if i'm ahead or not. i didn't really like the thought of that much.

I really doubt you get 2 callers for $2.50, if you do the pot is over $8 and u have a pot sized bet left, pretty easy to play imo.

isn't it better to just move in pf than to autopush the flop oop though?

you don't HAVE to auto push the flop... most of them you will though. By pushing you let them play good.. they are gonna fold everything you beat except MAYBE 10's, and you're going to get called by QQ+ and probably AK.

PUSHING is bad and will only get called by hands that have you crushed or sometimes AK...A large 3 bet will accomplish the same thing as a push and give op leaway to re-eval if some one wakes up with a hand a shoves it in PF...

if someone other than utg comes over the top of a pf3bet, i would probably call it anyway though. i would have a hard time buying someone cold calling into a big multiway with QQ+. if someone does have AK or QQ+ and just calls me, AK probably has an advantage over me on the flop, and QQ+ probably isn't folding.

I think one thing you're not realizing is that if you made this play in the same situation over and over, you're going to be losing so much value that you can gain from playing it "normal". I think that alone should be reason enough to pot it pre, c-bet any AKQ high flop as stated, c/f to a scary board. There's still plenty of opportunity to get it all in here and be a favorite on the flop and I think that will result in the most value all of the time, which is what you're really aiming to do longterm, y'know?

you're right, i'm not realizing that, because i don't know that its true. clearly pushing is going to yeild a big +, whether i only get called by hands that beat me (unlikely) or not, because there is already 15% of a maximum buyin in the middle of the table. almost every single time i'll either take that money with no contest, or flip with a huge overlay.

so, the question is, how does the positive expectation of pushing compare to the positive expectation of raising? that's not a question that can be answered just by using cliches. its pretty complex considering all of the variables in play.
