Default what alcoholic drink gives you the right buzz?

for some reason the carbonated drinks like beer gets me drunk. and yet i can take shots after shots of jagermeister and scotch. 1 shot jager and chase it with 1 shot of johnny gets me a nice buzz good for 30-40 minutes.
