Flop comes out, button bets, MP calls, i call.
Turn, button shortstacking, pushes, MP calls, i call. River, MP checks, i check. Button turns over AQ, MP turns over A8 for a boat, i muck. Retard not even participating in the hand, then goes to dealer, "can we see what he has?". Im like "the [censored]? i mucked, no you cant [censored] see". Dealer calls supervisor over, explains action to him, and supervisor reluctantly says yes you can see. So im like "wtf?? So your saying from now on whenever i wana see a loosing players cards, regardless of the situation, i can ask to see his hand?" supervisor is like "uh...uh...yea as long as you dont do it too often or it will piss people off". Needless to say, that every hand that retard played in and didnt show his cards, i called the floor for the cards to be unmucked. [censored] [censored]. Crown casino. Melbourne. Awesome. |

Um, please learn the rules to poker before you start crying like you are. Run a search on I Want to See that hand.
Any player dealt in may request to see a called hand. The rule, albeit it, is in place to try to detect and prevent collusion, but it's commonly applied as the above stated rule. This is and has been a VERY common rule in poker rooms. I only know of 2 places that don't allow you to see the hand period unless you prove to the floor person first why you suspect there is collusion. |

Its quite standard that some jerk will want to see your mucked hand. Its bad form but like previously stated perfectly within the rules. Many players don't even realize they are looking like a jerk when they do it..

[/ QUOTE ] Part of the problem is Dealers and Floor don't back up the notion that it is to prohibit collusion and is a privilege not to be abused just for curiosity. What I have seen happen is some Donk asks to see the cards because he read somewhere he has the "right" and the Floor allows the hand to be shown without explaining further. Then all freaking night people start calling to see hands. |

Back in the day about 30 years ago, my dad was a poker specialist, at holdem and stud and such. He played in back rooms, and losing a lot of money was common, like now. But back then he told me that people would ask to see players cards all the time, and if you didn't show, its as if your not coroporating with the rules.
So as time progressed people got pissier when asked, and now nobody asks, so people don't even know you can ask. An instance came up last year, at the WSOP, where another player who won the hand, called down w/ an A high, and said "I wanna see your cards" the player threw his cards into the pile, which should be a penalty. |

Wow, I think you overreacted.
But next time eat the cards. Then no-one will know what you had. |

I normally opt for asking the person invoking IWTSTH to explain exactly how he suspects that I am cheating, and if colluding exactly who he thinks I am colluding with. But next time, I think I will eat the cards. |

It's completely within the rules to ask to see the cards. I don't understand why anyone would take it personally. It's as stupid as getting pissed because someone check raised or bluffed you.
