edit: I have thoughts on the hand but I want to wait to see what people say first. also, who leads the flop? I think I would shove flop into an unknown villain.
Do you play enough to know he's not a regular? |

I only moved up to 27s recently so I don't know, though he wasn't on any of my 10+ other tables for what its worth

Ok as played I think I would shove.
And the decision as to what to do becomes close depending on who the player is, I think. I like a shove. If you were thinking about check shoving there anyway, you could try leading that flop againts unknown just to feel him out. In a sense that if you were going to make an all in bet (check/shove), you would call one if he shoves on you anyway. Might not be the best option, but something to think about. |

are you just sort of hoping he has KQ or he folds? I understand that I have top pair but you haven't thought at all about what villain might hold.

the only valid reason to check this flop is to CRAI. villain could have AdXd, random SCs, QQ, AJ,KQ,KT in addition to JJ,KK,AA. if you're even going to consider folding this flop vs an unknown then fold preflop.

Well I don't have too much information.
So for all I know, he could have AA-JJ, but at the same time AJ, KQ or even AK. KQ is actually probably unlikley. Use sharkscope man. Gee, I dunno, I havent played a SnG in maybe 3 weeks. Hope someone could chime in here. |

I think folding to PFrr might be correct, and its obviously right against some players. I don't really have any mental profile yet for a "typical 27t player" so I wasn't sure what my flop plan would be.
In retrospect since I'm check folding any flop with no A or K, folding pf sounds like the best move, especially because of reverse implied odds when I hit a king and can't get away against a better hand. |
