On request by TT (the mod in B&M), he has asked me to crosspost this in here as well, since we have a few tourney threads.
Here guys, I put together a listing of all the major series going on in Las Vegas this summer, minus the WSOP which everyone knows about. Tournament Players Wanted The summer of 2007 in Las Vegas is shaping up to be absolutely amazing for tournament players of all types and bankrolls. Here is a quick breakdown of everything, to our knowledge, that will be going on throughout the summer of 2007. We all know that Harrahs is running the World Series of Poker with 54 bracelet events and 55 events in total including the Casino Employees No Limit Holdem event. The event runs from June 1st through July 15th. The details including buy ins, structures, and level times can be found here: http://worldseriesofpoker.com/tourne...sp?groupID=309 But did you know that the Venetian will be running their Deep Stack Extravaganza II from June 1st through July 1st with buy-ins ranging from $330 to $1060. The games included are HORSE, No Limit Holdem, Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, and Omaha 8/b. Last year, the Venetian held the DPS I and it went over extremely well with fields in getting into the 400 entry range. More details and contact information can be found here: http://www.venetian.com/VenetianEng/...deepstack2.pdf Do you remember Binion’s? Yeah, that little place that used to own the rights to and held the World Series of Poker for 28 years before Harrahs purchased it and moved it to the Rio. Well they’re back this summer as well in a big way. Now introducing the 1st Annual Binion’s Poker Classic starting on May 31st and running daily events through July 4th. The buy ins will range from $100 through $1000 with games such as 7 Stud, No Limit Holdem, Stud 8/b, Omaha 8/b, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Holdem, 2-7 Tripple Draw, HORSE, Short Handed (6 handed) No Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha 8/b. For more information, please go to: http://www.binions.com/gaming/poker_classic.html Now, onto the Bellagio. The Bellagio Cup III is on the schedule for June 11 to July 24th with buy ins starting as low as $1500 and a three day main event with a $10,300 buy-in. The turnouts were reportedly pretty good last year for this event and with virtually no competition during this time period, it’s almost a given that the fields will be comparable, if not larger than last years 200-400 player ranges. Satellites and super satellites will also be available to players daily. For more information:http://www.cardplayer.com/tournaments/event_list/913 The Orleans Open is an extremely popular series of tournaments that directly after the time the WSOP concludes at the Rio. The Open usually draws very respectable crowds in the 200-400 range with an entire section of their convention center dedicated to this tournament series. The series starts July14th and runs through July 29th of this year. Some of the events include No Limit Holdem, Limit Holdem, Omaha 8, Stud, Stud 8, Seniors No Limit Holdem, and a LIPPS Ladies No Limit Holdem. The buy-ins range from $120 up to $1050. Dude this is awesome. I posted in b&m asking about this a few weeks ago and was going to do the legwork myself.
Thanks! I'm playing a few series events, but I think I'll be at the Venetian on a decent number of the offdays; that series looks great. |

Looks like the Venetian has the best value.
Does anybody know how long the levels are? Also, is the blind structure normal or crazy like the Caesar's structure? Thanks. |

Great post but I think there's one mistake. The bellagio website only has info for Bellagio Cup II, which was last year. This year it overlaps a lot with the wsop if I remember right. I think it starts June 10, and has 1500-5000 buyins everyday at 1pm and 1k buyins everyday at 8pm. The ME is a WPT event, can't remember exactly when it is.

Here it is on their website. YOu have to click on Poker Room first, not the tournaments listed in the drop down. It'll be the first one linked on the page. I have Bellagio's site because you can't link directly to any specific page. They have changed the dates since I posted this as well. The dates, schedule, and buy ins were in fact the sames ones I posted above. The new dates are below. It looks like they had the old schedule posted from last year under the Cup III page by mistake.
