Re: NL50: KK oop, A hits river but flush draw misses
I think you have to call here. The bet is a good bet, about 2/3 the size of the pot, so it's either a great value bet or a good bluff. It's very possible that the player is just trying to salvage his missed flush by betting the river, or he could have missed his flush draw but hit his ace high and think that is good too after your check.
By checking on the river you are asking the opponent to bluff in my opinion, but not much you can do out of position. If he hit his ace I'm paying him off here. |

I fold but I am a nit. If you have a read about him him chasing flushes, or continuing with and overcard or overcards that would obviously help.

Re: NL50: KK oop, A hits river but flush draw misses
I usually fold here because the A gives him a lot of 2 pairs and top pair with a lot of his flush draws that he is now betting for value. This is a pretty good OP though compared to many of the hands posted.

Re: NL50: KK oop, A hits river but flush draw misses
I really can't find a fold here specially against a loose villain. He knows he wins pots by being agressive, so you have to call here. I think you should have tried a blocking bet of about half pot, if he made a big raise you could fold.

[/ QUOTE ] I considered this, but I don't think I'd fold out any hands and if I'm expecting to call, I'd rather give him the opportunity to bluff as well for the same or a similar price. |
