Default I have to improve my turn play...

especially if i'm going to play these gapped suited connectors.

Villain is unknown as he has just sat down. Limp call preflop suggests to me that he has a small-medium pocket pair, two broadway cards or A9-AJ. I may be wrong. Flop is a standard c-bet for me. His check-calling suggests some sort of weak ace or maybe even KQ. I pick up more outs on the turn so I now need a plan for the rest of the hand. What do you do?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($97.40)
SB ($74.30)
BB ($251.50)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG calls $4.

UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $8</font>, UTG calls $8.

Guys, prob a stupid question, but...

If we think he is calling here(and river) with a bare ace, and we have 14 outs, is it OK to bet the turn for like ~22 or something to shove the river when we hit and check when we miss?

ie we have a PSB on the river. We have NO FE.
Is it still profitable to bet the turn knowing that? I feel like I use it as an excuse to double barrel lol.

How often is villain calling down three streets with a weak ace on a drawy board? If he will fold the river some decent % of the time when hero hits his hand, hero is better off checking the turn and getting the bet on the river with a made hand.

This really becomes a math problem. Where's that damn pokey when you need him?

If we assume we have no FE, he never c/r turn and we'll win a psb on the river no matter if we bet the turn or not:

Bet turn: 0.33*85 - 0.67*22 = +$13
Check turn: 27.5*0.33 = +$9

I think betting here is OK. Villain looks like he's got some sort of weak one pair type hand. You probably have decent fold equity, and if not, you have lots of outs to improve.

About 2/3 pot.
River when missed:
- If villain bet, we fold
- If villain checks, we can try to take it down with 2/3 to full PSB (that's my opinion though, would like to here others)

River when hit really depends on the card.

I'm just going to give up on any blank river. On the turn i'd bet around 20-22. If he decides to crai on the turn, I think you're pretty much committed getting around 2-1 with anywhere between 12-15 outs.

I'm checking. I don't like double barreling A-high boards.
