Any south/central IN players?
Anyone in IN (or anywhere in the Midwest possibly) going to be in the French Lick area this coming weekend. I'm taking a buddy of mine down there and just wanted to see if there was going to be anyone in the area.
FL is easily my favorite casino in/around IN. Although the poker action during the week is spotty, the action weekends is usually pretty good. Hell if there are enough of us (no chance in hell) we could get a HORSE game going or some other crazy action. Also, anyone with knowledge might be able to help me out about something. Checking around on their new website (www.frenchlickresort.com) it makes mention of the fact that they're giving complimentary food away to poker players during certain times. Can I assume this means free food, and not just that you can get comped according to your account (as is standard)? Cody |

Re: Any south/central IN players?
I just stopped in there "Thurs. afternoon about 2:00" after a bussiness meeting. I work in Jasper about 30 mins from there.
I got sat down at the first hand of a 1/2 nl game. This game was about the best game you could hope for,got up 100+ in less than an hour when my wife called and asked why I wasn't at work. I hated leaving that game. They are offering trnys 65+5 I belive two times a day (12/7). they are getting around 18-25 mon-thurs and 50+ fridays and weekends. edit to say PM me , I would like to meet fellow 2+2ers there. OR know who to stay out of pots with. |

Second I'll be heading down tonight (Fri) or tomorrow and will write a report upon returning. There's never a ton of action (4-5 tables max) except on very busy weekends, but the action is usually as he described, pretty loose and very few nits. I have little doubt (having asked a floor before) that they'd spread a game for us if we got like 6-8 of us together some weekend, my next trip is going to be March 19th I think, for those interested. For signing in when you arrive, for a certain amount of play time (not sure how long) you can ask the floor for a comp which covers about 1 meal at Diamond Jim's |

My question was actually more about their new "Complementary Food" offer that's expressed on their website. They do track play via sign ins and give comps, but this advert says "Comp food between 10AM and 10PM Fri and Sat". Since they gave a time, this leads me to believe that they're trying the CA form of just giving food away in order to bring customers in. In any case I'd be happy to write a TR after this weekend, and we can keep this thread alive for a possible Midwest 2+2 "coinflip for rolls yo" at a later date. Cody |

Re: Any south/central IN players?
While I do, on occasion, play good, I don't, it would seem, read good. I went back to the website and reread the promo. From my understanding, it seems as if they're just refering to the food that you can get comped for play.
As an aside, the food is very good in my exp, and they give out comps pretty easy, all you really have to do is ask, the Poker staff is top notch and very friendly so just be polite and they'll help you out. Cody |

Re: Any south/central IN players?
What is going on over in French Lick? What games are going? Did the HORSE thing pan out? I'll make the trek out there from Cincy to check the joint out if things are hopping!
