I don't know a whole lot about them, especially since they were bought by dell. But from what ive heard or seen in the past i thought they were mostly just way overpriced computers that looked cool, but actually weren't worth nearly as much as they sold them for.

Dell just send me an idea for a xps 720 H2C with all the upgrades possible and a 30 ' monitor it turns around 9000 bucks and with alienware i got one with better parts for 7000 bucks.

They're way overpriced for what they are imo.
You can build your own similar if not better system for a lot less. |
