Re: Investing Beginner
I've read a few dozen investment books the past five years or so, and "The Big Money" has proven to be the best so far. On top of that is was an enjoyable read. It's a perfect book for investors at all levels, beginner to expert. Just remember the 15% rule, which I believe he covers.

Re: Investing Beginner
recall me, pick up how to make money in stocks by william j o'neil. its a great starting point imo and should get you pumped about investing. its not an all inclusive investment book, but will break a lot of things down for you and is a good stepping stone into the investment world. its a pretty quick, easy to get through book, and wont bog you down in boredom.
edit: just saw u werent that interested in stocks.. well if u wanna go real estate path, i actually liked the abcs of real estate investing from rich dad company by ken mcelroy. was first book on RE i read and i feel like i got a lot out of it. the millionaire real estate investor by gary keller is also considered by many the best all inclusive book on RE investing, but it was like the 5th book i read so i dint get a whole lot that wasnt covered by the other literature. prob a solid first or second read though. as far as other types of investments cant help ya. gl. |

Re: Investing Beginner
one more for william o'neil. I'm a total noob when it comes
to investing but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Anybody here suscribers to IBD? I'm thinking about signing up for the digital edition. Not too many places here where I can pick up IBD but I read a few editions and really enjoyed it. |

Re: Investing Beginner
I suscribe to ibd but I stopped using his momentum strategies a few years back. Its just not as rational as value investing.
