AA vs possible straight & flush
PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (10 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG+2 calls, CO calls, SB calls. Flop: (8 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB bets, Hero raises, UTG+2 calls, CO folds, SB calls. Turn: (7 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero... No real notes, but SB has been 30/16.7/2.3 while UTG+2 (in few hands) has been 61/0. Flop: I missed, but odds are that my hand is still best and it's unlikely that anyone is already connecting that board (though UTG+2 could certainly hold cards down there). Anyway, I want to force people out and SB obligingly bets. Turn: OK, now things are excessively straight and there may be a flush. No one has shown any strength but so many players at this level slow-play the flop that things could get lively this round. I think the odds are that my hand is still best but my equity is dropping. If it *is* still best I should make them pay for the draw, but I seem to have been getting in trouble by being too aggressive postflop and in particular by hanging around too long with formerly-best hands. The chicken-s*** option is to c/c from here. An alternative would be bet/fold since these two don't seem to be that aggressive postflop (though I suppose 2.3 is nothing to sneeze at). |

Re: AA vs possible straight & flush
b/f
this is almost a perfect example b/c if you get raised you're 100% never good and drawing dead always so a fold is right |
