What do you do here ? check/fold, bet/call or crai hoping he just has a high heart enough (given that the Ah is out this seems to be a small part of his range)? |

Re: NL50 KK Ahi monotone flop vs shorty
I think either betting pot or just shoving would be okay here since he's a shortie. Checking here would be horrible. Folding here would be horrible here too. Try to get it all-in here.

Re: NL50 KK Ahi monotone flop vs shorty
I don't think that betting out is profitable. I'd check and watch:
If he bets, I'd call and lead a heart turn, probably c/f a non-heart turn. If he checks, I'd lead the turn regardless of the suit. |

Re: NL50 KK Ahi monotone flop vs shorty
just IME checking here always seems to induce a push for some reason.
Any reads on villan? does pushing ever get called by a worse hand here? Push is pretty much a bluff unless we have a read that villan is pretty bad. this is close Between a c/f or push I think c/c is prob the worst. |

CO has $10.25 behind on a $7.10 pot
I think pushing only gets called by a hand that beats us. I'd really want to see a turn |

Re: NL50 KK Ahi monotone flop vs shorty
I'd check because I don't think he's betting the flop with something like QhJd, or 88. If he shoves I fold. If a heart hits the turn I'm giving up. I'd probably crai on a non heart turn because I don't think he'd check an ace on the flop or call preflop with an ace, but I'm hoping he checks the turn again. I'm thinly value betting a non heart river. $3 into a $7.10 pot at the most. I think I like a bet of $2 or $2.75 because $2.75 seems so much less than $3.

just IME checking here always seems to induce a push for some reason. [/ QUOTE ] Same. I do this a lot against very short stacks. I reraise with a big pair, flop comes ace high, I check/snap call. You will see all sorts of stuff. I would check here to induce a bluff, although I don't think it really matters what you do (just don't fold). |
