#1 and #2 I'd really like to think that if this enterprise is worth doing, my wife/friends/family can be convinced of that. Otherwise they don't respect me as a person and hell if I'm going to change my life for someone like that.

#3 No way I'd let the poker gods win like that. If anything I might quit after I won $10mil or something and accomplished all my goals. I could see getting bored with it after that.

Is poker really a way of life for you? What if your significant other said something like: I feel that poker is taking up too much of your time -- time that we could be spending together -- how about we find another hobby that we both enjoy and could do together, something like photography or traveling...
